Workshop: Code.org – Teacher Training

Targets: K-12 teachers, STEM Program Leads and Home School Teachers

Duration: 6 hrs

Description: Free, high-quality professional development for educators from an experienced computer science facilitator. The workshop will provide an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of the online Code.org curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching “unplugged” classroom activities. Workshops last 6-7 hours and will prepare you to teach the Code Studio courses. Teachers who attend will also receive, free of charge: certificate of completion, printed curriculum guides and class supplies for unplugged activities and lunch.

Objective: Teachers will be prepared to add computer science lessons in any classroom as well as be connected to the global Code.org teacher network.
